Nathaniel Simpson, Pastor

Pastor Nathaniel Simpson is a man after God’s own heart. As the Senior Pastor, he provides vision and effectual leadership to THE FORGIVING CHURCH located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Pastor Simpson with the character of a humble servant has a calling on his life to reconcile people that have fallen out of fellowship with God and His church due to their own moral failing and/or spiritual abuse from individuals who have held a position of authority and leadership. He desires to emulate God’s forgiveness and love in a nonjudgmental manner. He yearns to restore souls by empowering them through the word of God to discover and embrace God’s purpose for their life.

He has an intense excitement and love for the Lord. His anointed preaching ignites the atmosphere with enthusiasm and his transparency challenges the believer to produce life-changing results. Many commend him on his preaching and teaching method as "being practical, yet powerful" while penetrating the hardest of hearts, captivating the attention of the troubled and convincing the confused that God is able to save anybody. He is committed to declaring God’s Word to all, and developing men and women to disciple the world by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Simpson attended Global University Bible College and Kent State University. He has an undergraduate degree in black church studies from Ashland University. He has also completed CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) through the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as a Chaplain intern. Pastor Simpson is also continuing his education in pursuit of his Masters of Divinity from Ashland University.

Pastor Simpson balances his life as a devoted husband to Lady Sherdene Simpson and proud father of two daughters Kiya and Kendra.
